Laxogenin is well known to be the superior agent available that can give you anabolic gains in mass and strength without HPTA suppression, or other side effects associated with anabolic steroids. Therefore, athletes can use it on a caloric restricted diet to prevent loss of muscle and strength. Furthermore, it will also help control glucose and increase thyroid function (metabolism). According to one experiment from the late 80's in Japan, laxogenin has been shown to have anti inflammatory benefits and a prominent anti-tumor potential.
BR might reveal to have a prominent interest in the role of horticultural crops. Based on extensive research BR has the ability to improve the quantity and quality of horticultural crops and protect plants against many stresses that can be present in the local environment. With the many advances in technology dealing with the synthesis of more stable synthetic analogues and the genetic manipulation of cellular BR activity, using BR in the production of horticultural crops has become a more practical and hopeful strategy for improving crop yields and success.
Although A/B ring fusions are different between ecdysteroids and brassinosteroids , the hybrid compounds with the side chain of ponasterone A and steroid moiety of brassinosteroids exhibited ecdysone-like activity . For this hybrid compound, the 22 R -isomer had 100-fold greater binding affinity to the receptor than the corresponding 22 S -isomer. However, interestingly for a compound without a 20-OH group, it is essential to have an S -configuration at the 22-position . The binding affinity was enhanced 250-fold by conversion of the A/B ring fusion from trans to cis . This structure–activity relationship information was used for in silico screening of ecdyone agonists .
